He grew up as a happy child, but one day, when he was playing with Lamak, they got caught amongst a bandit coup d'etat and thus Vyl got shot in the throat with an arrow. Nearly dying of blood loss, he was rushed to the doctor who mended his wound and transferred him to one of the city's doctors. After he regained consciousness, he became mute and since then lived a fairly decent life being very studious.
